Revenue Management Training
Revenue expertise for your team — built to stay in-house.
What is Revenue Management Training?
Revenue management does not have to stay a black box. We train your team in the key metrics, pricing logic and your own systems — from a foundations workshop to ongoing coaching. The goal: your hotel makes its own pricing decisions, confidently and permanently.
Many independent hotels face the same choice: keep paying an external consultant indefinitely, or trust a pricing tool whose decisions nobody in the building can explain. Our training opens a third path — building revenue expertise within your own team. In most cases, a front office or reservations manager takes on revenue responsibility, and we provide the craft to do it well. The aim is not to demonstrate knowledge but to transfer it: after the training, your team should be able to make, justify and monitor pricing decisions independently.
We work with four formats. The foundations workshop gives general managers, front office and reservations a shared base: key metrics, pricing logic and pick-up thinking. The systems training takes place in your own tools — PMS, revenue management system and channel manager, whether you work with RoomPriceGenie, Atomize or a spreadsheet. Ongoing coaching supports your team alongside our outsourced service as real decisions come up. And the enablement programme pursues one clear goal: your hotel managing its own revenue after 12 to 24 months.
Every curriculum is tailored to your property — built around your numbers, your seasonality and your comp set rather than generic seminar examples. Your team receives a pricing playbook with documented rate logic, a revenue meeting structure with agenda and KPI set, and a dashboard that makes RevPAR, ADR, pick-up and pace visible every day. As the outsourced revenue management specialist for independent and boutique hotels in the DACH region, we know which questions actually come up in the daily routine of a 20- to 120-room property — and that is exactly what we prepare your team for.
One honest caveat: training does not replace daily steering in complex markets. City hotels with strong trade fair demand or properties with a heavy group share often need someone watching the market every day — in those cases we recommend combining training with our outsourced revenue management: we steer, your team learns alongside and gradually takes over. In more stable markets, a well-trained team can operate fully independently after the enablement phase. What is realistic for your property is something we clarify in a first conversation.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
- Who is the training for?
- For independent and boutique hotels with 20 to 120 rooms that want to anchor revenue tasks internally — typically a front office or reservations manager takes on the role. No prior knowledge is required: the foundations workshop starts with RevPAR, ADR and occupancy. For teams with existing basics, we move straight into pricing logic, pick-up analysis and hands-on systems work. The only real requirement is that the trained person is given genuine responsibility and fixed time slots for revenue work afterwards.
- How long does the training take — and how does it work?
- The foundations workshop usually takes one to two days, the systems training another day. After that, follow-up sessions run every two to four weeks, where we walk through real pricing decisions together. A typical enablement programme spans three to six months; hotels aiming to manage revenue fully on their own after 12 to 24 months combine the training with ongoing support that we scale down step by step.
- Do you train remotely or on site?
- Both work. In our experience, foundations workshops are most effective on site, with the whole team around one table working on your own numbers. Systems training and follow-up sessions work very well remotely — via screen sharing directly in your PMS, RMS or channel manager. Most hotels choose a combination: a kick-off on site, ongoing coaching remotely. Travel costs within the DACH region are billed transparently based on actual effort.
- Can the training be combined with outsourcing?
- Yes — and this is in fact the most common setup. Many hotels start with our outsourced revenue management and build up an internal person in parallel. We make the daily pricing decisions and explain in joint revenue meetings why we make them. Step by step, your team takes on more responsibility while we pull back to oversight and strategy. That creates a clean transition instead of a hard cut — with the option to end the ongoing support entirely after 12 to 24 months.
- What does the training cost?
- Pricing depends on scope: a single foundations workshop costs less than a multi-month enablement programme with systems training and coaching. Because every property starts with a different knowledge level and different systems, we quote individually after a short initial conversation — you receive a written offer with a fixed price and no hidden follow-up costs. You can find our ongoing service models on the pricing page; the initial conversation is free and without obligation.
